The monument – symbol of Bulgaria has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage. The rock relief of the Madara Horseman dating back to the VIII c. (AD) was carved 23 m high on a cliff. The image depicting a rider, a lion, a hunting dog and an eagle measures 2,6/3,1 m.
